A ribbon cutting was held in celebration of a new golf course clubhouse.
Officials with the Metropolitan Board of Parks and Recreation held the ceremony for the opening of the clubhouse at the Percy Warner Golf Course at 10 a.m. Saturday.
The ribbon was cut by Mayor Karl Dean, and for part of the celebration, those at the course offered a free round of golf after the ceremony.
The new 4,000 square foot facility displayed to public featured administrative offices and a Pro Shop. One section of the new facility opened Saturday was an outdoor pavilion with restrooms and an outdoor fireplace.
Those with the clubhouse said the newly re-designed parking lot would serve golfers, mountain bikers, and those who enjoy using the trails.
