John’s experience in the construction industry includes work as a laborer, carpenter, carpentry foreman, superintendent, estimator, project coordinator, project manager, senior project manager and vice president. John has a B.S. degree in Construction Engineering Technology from Murray State University and studied jazz and percussion at Morehead State University under Dr. Robert Schietroma. He has served since March of 2006 as an officer and a member of the Board of Directors of American Constructors, Inc.
Since his employment with American Constructors in 1986, John has managed the successful completion of over $390 million dollars of construction in Middle Tennessee and the southeastern United States. Significant projects include the Schermerhorn Symphony Center, the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, The Nashville Children’s Theater, WO Smith School of Music, The Wild Horse Saloon, ASCAP Headquarters, Sony Tree Publishing Corporate Headquarters, Sony Tree Recording Studios, EMI Music Headquarters and Recording Studios as well as the last two phases of construction of Brentwood Baptist Church.
John is married to Teresa R. Madole and they have three children, Katherine, Rachel and John Jr. In his spare time John enjoys playing and working on the family farm, Cub Scout meetings with John, Jr. , and Theater Bug, Nashville Children’s Choir and Girl Scouts with his two girls. He also enjoys performing with his jazz band several times a year.
